Young Leaders

In Year 6 at Mobberley CofE Primary School, the children take part in the Archbishops’ Young Leaders Award. This allows them the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and engage with the local community and global charities. We do this through a range of individual challenges and group activities. The children are encouraged to consider their role in the community and the wider world through their completion of Archie’s challenges and learning to, “Be the change they want to see.”

The Young Leaders Award (YLA) is a fully resourced leadership
and character education programme designed to be delivered by teaching staff
within the classroom.

As part of our Young Leader’s programme we walked into the village to see what areas we felt could be improved. We discussed changes that had already been made over the years and what we could do to make our local community a better place.
