Mobberley has always had a heavy emphasis on Reading at all levels within school. Currently, based on KS2 data alone (over time) we rank in the top 20% of schools in the country.

We specifically teach the skills to decode and have lots of activities to develop the understanding of texts. We are progressive in our approach and are one of only 30 schools in the country to use ‘Lexplore’ Eye Tracking technology to assess reading accuracy and fluency. It is our aim to make every child a proficient reader and foster a life-long love of reading books.
